For the first of our annual fundraising evenings, the Steelers took to Billingham Town Football Club, to help raise money towards the costs of the upcoming football season. The night included a bottle bag raffle, with prizes kindly donated by each of the players; a gift raffle, with prizes and vouchers provided by a number generous local businesses; a race night, hosted by Club Chairperson, Toni Blackett, and a disco to finish the evening.
Attended by the friends and family members of Teesside's players, along with some of our wonderful supporters, including players and coaches from Darlington Steam American Football Club, the Steelers are delighted to confirm that- thanks to the generosity of all who attended, we were able to raise a total of £551.10 towards to upcoming season.
This plans to be the first of a number of fundraising activities due to be hosted by the Steelers throughout the year- funds from which will be used to purchase training equipment, kit and venue hire, which will support the Club in continuing on from the success of last season, and developing players to become the best footballers they can be.
